Welcome - Alison Roddy is an international opera and concert soprano. Born in Dublin, she has sung over a dozen leading roles as a principal soprano at English National Opera including Gilda (Rigoletto), Micaela (Carmen), Adina (L'Elisir d'Amore), Jessie (The Silver Tassie), Nanetta (Falstaff) and Despina (Cosi fan tutte), as well as singing at other leading opera houses all over the world, from Vienna to Ottawa to New Zealand in solo roles in operas including Das Rheingold and Powder Her Face (Ades). She has recently performed as soprano soloist in Richard Strauss' Four Last Songs, Canteloube's Songs of the Auvergne and Mahler's 2nd, 4th and 8th Symphonies, as well as Handel's Messiah with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Alison also appears regularly for major religious ceremonies and corporate events.
